I have been spending some time sorting through items to do a bit of a declutter. I have involved other household members in the decision making where and when it is appropriate, and the overall goal is to keep what we need and pass on (either selling or donating) that which we ourselves no longer require.
A declutter occasionally really is a great thing to work your way through as a family and household, and this latest declutter, although it is taking a bit of time and energy to achieve, is one that is proving to be beneficial and of value. Somehow decluttering itself also helps create a greater sense of joy and helps it prevail that bit more.
I recently found a container of scrapbooking and papercrafting supplies and started to go through it. It was time to consider what time, energy and commitment I truly wished to realistically put into scrapbooking and papercrafts going forward into the future.

I recently listed on an online selling site a huge collection of scrapbooking and papercrafting items as part of doing this latest area of focused decluttering. Whoever eventually buys this bulk collection will have a truly lovely time with all the various stickers, rub-ons, papers, etc they gain as part of the collection obtained.
I have however felt so far that I still want to hold onto those papercrafting and scrapbooking supplies I have that are very much obviously Christmas themed.
Will I have time? Will I in fact get around to using them? That is of course the big question.
It has been nice to look through this much smaller collection of papercrafting items and discover all over again what I have on hand and available to me.
My thoughts currently centre around the idea that I could use these various items to do a specifically Christmas themed art & craft project with my children, like making greeting cards.
I have also contemplated that I really enjoyed several years ago participating in a Pocket Letter Swap, so perhaps that might also be something I could enjoy linking into again.
At this stage, I am choosing to hold onto this much more concise and smaller collection of papercrafting and scrapbooking supplies. I think that if I haven’t used them by next Christmas, then perhaps I will set myself the goal of going down the track of also listing these online as a bulk lot of items to sell.

Pocket letter items? Greeting Cards? Decorations on actual scrapbooking pages? A special mini album project? I would like to think several hours of happy papercraft might soon be around the corner over the coming colder months. We shall see…… and it will be another fun project to document & share via this Christmas Project Diary Blog certainly should (let’s say when!) it occurs!
