This snowglobe is one of my favourite Christmas themed decor items. I bought it several years ago in a post-Christmas sale at the Farmers store.
It sits currently on a shelf alongside crockery in the kitchen, and every so often it is nice to flip it on its side, to access the turn key on its underside, in order to set the music player going (it plays the very Christmasy jingle “Deck the Halls..”).
Of course, it is also quite lovely to pause for a moment and watch the cascading fall of the snowglobe’s ‘snow’ also.
The music and falling snow is all a very short lived experience, however it is a source of joy. It is nice to have every so often to consciously pause to enjoy a special moment created by a special decor item such as this one. I love it.
