It has begun. I have started the initial filming and editing steps required toward launching a couple of videos on the sister Youtube Channel that will accompany this very blog.
Will there be interest in videos about any & all things Christmasy post-Christmas?
Will my approach to presenting what I find to be of interest appeal to video viewers going down the various rabbit holes that are part and parcel of Youtube?
Who knows.
However, my children and I have had a good laugh as I put together a rather fun dance segment within one of the videos I am currently piecing together.

Sometimes the best medicine when you are dealing with challenging circumstances is to truly have a good laugh.
I have personally always loved being able to have a jolly good laugh. It can be very therapeutic and very medicinal to see the funny side of things.
Having a warm sense of humour often proved very handy and a good point of connection with students when I was a classroom teacher, all those many decades ago.
People, regardless of age or social background, seem to love to have a good laugh. They love to see the funny side of things. They tend to appreciate hugely also when someone is able to laugh at themselves.
Human beings as a whole seem to value lightness being made present by wit and humour. We value how a situation can be turned around for the better by a sound, good sense of fun being created. This in turn triggers laughter, even greater energy and more enjoyment being able to be exercised.
People love being privy to an inside joke, as it creates connection. A good belly laugh just feels plain good and all the resulting positive chemicals literally improve your well-being straight away like nothing else.
It has been my experience there is definitely an art, and even specific level of social and mental intelligence, behind being able to generate a level of humour that appeals to a broad range of people.
An act of humour that is devoid of insult or injury is plain clever. If you can laugh at yourself, that also shows most cleverly and forthrightly a level of mature emotional intelligence that has come about via advanced development in the areas of self awareness and self acceptance.
Over the past two years, there has unfortunately not been as many good old fashioned laughs present for a lot of folk, perhaps not as many as would have been truly beneficial and helpful.
However, ever the optimist that I try to be, as I personally look out at the horizon of what is deemed 2022, it is one of my goals to have and make more opportunities for having a jolly good, whole-hearted laugh.
I need it. I personally really and truly need it. Hopefully some of the snippets of what I find amusing will perhaps appeal and tinkle the funny bone of others who need a good laugh also.
Am I truly a crazy Christmas lady in the making?
I guess the year ahead will reveal if I am, or whether instead I am just choosing to artfully pick up and occasionally use tools in my emotional and mental toolboxes, (including the use of the tool deemed “Sense of Humour” ) to bring small snippets of lightness, joy and even perhaps laughter to at least my own household, in what is highly likely to be the third year of a world working its way through a major pandemic crisis….
2022 needs to be a year with more joy and more laughter contained in it. We all need it for our health and well-being. Literally and figuratively, we most definitely need it.

A snippet of a silly dancing segment in an otherwise fairly straight forward video-in-the-making? It appealed, as good old fashioned and simple medicinal goodness for this mama and her offspring today.
