Whilst out shopping the other day at the local dollar store I managed to find and purchase three sets of angel wings to put aside for the cloth doll angels I am working on. I hope the store will order some more in soon.

I used these particular wings previously with the other small angels I made and which are now fully completed and hanging currently on their designated Christmas tree.

Overall these Craft Workshop manufactured wings have held up pretty well over the years and I have been pleased with how they continue to look.

If I have difficulty locating them in the local area, I guess I could have a go at making something similar myself….. I would just have to try and source some suitable feathers.

They appear to be of a fairly simple construction, with the feathers mounted and glued on to something of a cardboard base. I have however appreciated being able to buy them ready made to date, as it was one less thing to construct personally, and also so much less hassle trying to source suitable feathers myself.

However, for now I am still working away at the making of the actual dolls themselves.

It is good to know currently at least that these particular wings appear to still be made, and if need be I also have the option of trying to source them online if they prove difficult to locate & purchase locally.

Wings. They definitely help make pretty cloth dolls look that bit more angelic.
